The Sony VAIO W netbook is now available for pre-order at Amazon for $499 in Brown and Pink colors. As mentioned earlier, this mini laptop is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU and features a 10.1-inch widescreen LCD with 1366 × 768 pixel resolution, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Bluetooth, Windows XP Home OS and a 3-cell battery with up to 2.5 hours of use time. Sony Japan has released a limited edition VAIO Type C Crocodile Edition in Japan. Each laptop is covered with crocodile skin and available in three different colors including red, pink and brown. As for the specs itself, it sports a 14.1-inch LCD display with 1280 x 800 resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS graphics, up to 8GB RAM, up to 500GB hard drive, Windows Vista OS, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity. A lot of mysterious gadgets and laptops reveal by the end of this year and this is the new Sony Vaio’s netbook that will be called “Vaio Pocket”. The 2008 CEATEC in Japan is a platform for Sony to unveil their latest VAIO type-T ultralight laptop. Weighing at only 1.31Kg, the notebook PC comes jam packed with a 1.2GHz of Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor, a 11.1-inch LCD display with LED backlight (1,366 x 768), Blu-ray drive, and a HDMI port.
