The Infinity miPC is a UMPC without a keyboard but that’s ok because it not only plays music and video but also records it, has a built-in FM tuner, supports DivX and XviD, and functions as a GPS system when docked. If you need to work on the go, the miPC offers a mobile Microsoft Office, can handle VoIP, Email, browsing and Instant Messaging. The Tele Atlas navigation software includes maps of the US and Canada with text-to-voice directions. The Infinity miPC features a 4.3 inch touchscreen, SD slot, 30GB HDD, 128MB of RAM and connectivity via USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0 and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi. Price not available yet, though it’s set to release in the near future.

Raon Digital’s Everun Ultra Portable PC comes with HSDPA wireless connection for surfing, SMS and Voice. The gadget is powered by an AMD Geode LX900 featuring 600MHz of processing power and provides a QWERTY keypad, and 4.8″ 16.7 million colors Wide VGA LCD screen. Its high-capacity Lithium Ion batteries offers battery life of up to 12 hours. Everun adopts advanced wireless technology including HSDPA, WIMAX (802.16e Wibro), WiFi and Bluetooth. Toshiba released their first U.S. notebook computer with HD DVD-R drive. Known as the Qosmio G45-AV680, this 17-inch notebook comes with a piano-key white glossy finish, back lit (blue light) control knobs, external USB HDTV Tuner, four Harman Kardon Bass Reflex stereo speakers with a built-in sub woofer, and Dolby Home Theater technology. In the inside, the laptop is powered by 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, up to 4GB RAM, Intel Turbo Memory (1GB), 320GB hard drive, HD DVD burner, and Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics card with 512MB memory (plus up to 255MB dynamically allocated shared memory using Nvidia TurboCache technology). The Qosmio G45-AV680 is now available for $3200.

General Dynamics Itronix rolled out the GoBook VR-2, its next-gen semi-rugged notebook PC equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7300 running at 2GHz. The laptop comes equipped with a 13.3 inch display with DynaVue, a patent-pending display technology that allows for comfortable viewing in all lighting conditions. The GoBook VR-2 is being targeted at mobile workers and field agents in commercial/military/public safety areas. Weighing in at 6.2 pounds, it can withstand a rated 6 drops from 30 inches. Other features include Integrated WWAN, Bluetooth Class 2 connectivity and 802.11 a/b. The GoBook VR-2 retails for $3,500 for the base configuration.

Here are some pictures of the new laptop from Intel and Ziba Design. Dubbed as the Intel Metro Notebook, it is claimed as world’s thinnest laptop. The laptop measures less than 0.7 inches thick and weighs only 2.25 pounds. The Intel Metro Notebook comes equipped with Wi-Fi, WiMax and cellular network chips that let you stay online all the time. The device also comes in a beautiful champagne-colored magnesium exterior. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing or availability.
