TG Sambo decided to launch its two new laptops in Korea. Targetted for gamers, the Everatec 8300 and Everatec 2500 laptops are powered by Windows Vista operating system. The Everatec 8300 features 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T 7500, 2048MB memory, 160GB HDD, and DVD super multi drive. Meanwhile, the Everatec 2500 adopts 2.2GHz AMD Turion 64, 2048MB memory, 160GB HDD, and DVD super multi. No word yet on pricing of these laptops.

NEC introduced its new special edition Nissan Micra laptop. Priced at $1,020, the notebook PC has a Nissan logo above the keyboard and comes with a slipcase made out of the same material Nissan uses in the March’s seats. The notebook PC is powered by a 1.8GHz Sempron 3400+ processor, 512MB RAM, a DVD-ROM drive, a 15.4 inch widescreen and Windows Vista Home Basic operating system.

Fujitsu has developed a palm-sized computer called the U810 (or U1010). This UMPC can be docked into a docking station with an external display and keyboard to get a true desktop experience. The U810 adopts an Intel A110 processor and provides an LCD screen with 1024×600 resolution, Intel TBD video graphics, 945GU Express chipset, and 1GB DDR2 RAM. Other features include a 1.8-inch 4200rpm hard drive, a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, QWERTY keyboard, webcam, and Windows Vista operating system. It will be available from September with a starting price of $1000.

The 20.1 Inch HP Pavilion HDX notebook PC that was leaked in May is now available. The laptop is based on Santa Rosa platform and features Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz T7500 / 2.4GHz T7700 or 2.6GHz Core 2 Extreme X7800 processor, up to 4GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card with 512MB memory, HD DVD drive, 1680 x 1050 resolution, 320GB hard drive, HDTV Hybrid TV Tuner, fingerprint reader, Bluetooth, a/b/g/n wireless, webcam, HDMI, and Windows Vista operating system. HP Pavilion HDX retails for $3000.

Toshiba released their first U.S. notebook computer with HD DVD-R drive. Known as the Qosmio G45-AV680, this 17-inch notebook comes with a piano-key white glossy finish, back lit (blue light) control knobs, external USB HDTV Tuner, four Harman Kardon Bass Reflex stereo speakers with a built-in sub woofer, and Dolby Home Theater technology. In the inside, the laptop is powered by 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, up to 4GB RAM, Intel Turbo Memory (1GB), 320GB hard drive, HD DVD burner, and Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics card with 512MB memory (plus up to 255MB dynamically allocated shared memory using Nvidia TurboCache technology). The Qosmio G45-AV680 is now available for $3200.

Gateway’s latest 14.1-inch T- and 15.4-inch M-series of multimedia laptops feature a dedicated precision-touch multimedia control panel with smooth-cut keys in the keyboard surround that provide one-touch access to digital media content. The laptops are based on Santa Rosa platform and adopt Core 2 Duo processor, 1920 x 1200 resolution, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 graphics card, DVD/HD DVD/Blu-ray player, fingerprint reader, 1.3MP camera, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity. Gateway will start selling M-6816 and T-6815 models from July 22 for approx. $900.
