by Johan on July 1, 2010

Toshiba has collaborated with Intel to develop the CM1 tablet PC. Designed for kids, the 10.1-inch tablet PC is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor and a LED-backlit touchscreen display (1366 x 768). The CM1 tablet also features a rugged, shock-resistant design and a spill-resistance keyboard to protect the underlying hardware from accident damage. Additional specs include a 2GB memory, a 160GB hard drive, stereo speakers, a rotatable webcam, a couple of USB ports, and Microsoft Windows 7 Professional. The Toshiba CM1 can also wirelessly connect with electronic blackboards and projectors to enable students to collaborate and present class work. The Toshiba CM1 tablet will be launched in the Japanese market starting August 2010. [PCLaunches]
