Toshiba has launched the Qosmio X500-Q930X, a new version of the Intel “Sandy Bridge”-based 18.4-inch gaming and multimedia laptop. As a successor to the recalled X500-Q930S, the new model features a 2GHz Intel Core i7-2630QM quad-core processor that can run at up to 2.9Ghz in TurboBoost mode. The Toshiba Qosmio X500-Q930X also features a 1.5GB nVidia GeForce GTX 460M video card, a full HD display, an 8GB of fast 1,333MHz DDR3 RAM, dual hard drives providing 1TB of storage combined and a Blu-ray combo drive. Additional features include Harman-Kardon stereo speakers with the Dolby Home Theater sound technology, a back-light keyboard, a webcam, a microphone, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, Gigabit LAN, HDMI and VGA video connectors, three USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA/USB 2.0 port, a multi-in-one media card reader, Firewire, and an ExpressCard slot. The “Sandy Bridge”-powered Qosmio X500-Q930X retails for $1,899. [Laptoping]
